Rina is an ophthalmologist in the Infection and Immunology division of the Ophthalmology Department in Universitas Indonesia in Cipto Mangunkusumo Kirana Hospital and Universitas Indonesia Hospital. She is also currently a volunteer in Emergency Hospital for COVID-19 (RSDC) Wisma Atlet, Jakarta.

In addition to her broad experience in all infection and immunology cases of the eye, she has a major clinical and research interest in uveitis and external eye diseases. She obtained her PhD in opthalmoimmunology group in Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

She is currently an official in Indonesian Ophthalmologist Association (IOA/PERDAMI) and scientific coordinator in the Indonesian Ocular Infection and Immunology Society (INOIIS). She also works in Indonesian Eye Bank in the division of future donor and recipient management. She is a member of the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG), and the Akademi Ilmuwan Muda Indonesia (ALMI).
