Teaching facilities

 

Located on the Salemba campus of the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UI), this building houses nine biomedical departments of FMUI and the Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI), which facilitates student teaching and learning activities.

The IMERI building has two towers (consisting of 12 floors), equipped with the latest technology in its field. IMERI has five medical education clusters and 11 innovative medical research clusters, supported by 60 research facilities. There are also rooms for students and academic staff to conduct their individual activities. All these facilities are adequate to accommodate lectures.

IMERI building is located strategically in the center of Jakarta adjacent to the FKUI cultural preserve building and to the RSCM with a concept of responding to axis, a response to history, and adding value to the city of Jakarta.

The Architecture of the IMERI building reflects a modern work with a sustainability concept, but it can interact with the surrounding buildings including cultural heritage buildings. Our lecture and discussion rooms offer a comfortable environment for learning and in-depth conversations among students and faculty. These rooms are designed to encourage active participation, brainstorming, and the exchange of ideas. Equipped with interactive tools and comfortable seating, the discussion rooms provide an ideal environment for group work, presentations, discussions, and lectures. These spaces facilitate a dynamic and interactive learning experience, fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and teamwork among our students.

Secretariat Office

The Secretariat of the Biomedical Sciences Doctoral Program, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, plays a role in building and maintaining synergistic academic and administrative relationships between students, lecturers, and educational staff. The PDIB FKUI Secretariat functions to ensure smooth communication, effective coordination, and efficient and accountable management of administrative tasks in supporting the process of education, research, and community service.
