Septelia Inawati Wanandi is a Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology FKUI, where she has been a lecture since 1988. She has pursued MD degree at FKUI (1981-1987), and Dr.rer.physiol degree at Philipps University of Marburg, Germany (1991-1994). She took Post-Doctoral Program in Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Medicine Hokkaido University, Japan (1988-1999), in European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg and in Philipps University of Marburg, Germany (2009). She was the Head of Master Program in Biomedical Sciences FKUI (2005-2023), and Head of Indonesia Consortium of Biomedical Sciences (2018-2021). She is now the Head of Molecular Biology and Proteomics Core Facilities, IMERI FKUI since 2017, a member of Medical Research Ethics Committee, Dharmais Cancer Hospital since 2018, a member of National Committee of Cells and Stem Cells, MoH RI since 2021, and a member of National Committee of Material Transfer Agreement, MoH RI since 2024. She received awards as the First Outstanding Lecturer at UI and at National levels (2018), and “Anugerah Karya Cipta Dokter Indonesia” (2019). Her research interests are cancer stem cells, oxidative stress and hypoxia, cellular senescence, and cell and gene therapy, in which she has numerous international scientific publications and patents.
