Melva Louisa is currently an academic staff member at the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, where she has been teaching pharmacology since 2006. Prior to joining the department, she worked as a medical science liaison at a pharmaceutical company. She earned her Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, in 2012. Her involvement in clinical research activities began in 2006 when she served as a Clinical Research Monitor at the Clinical Research Support Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. Additionally, she is actively involved in the development of the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences. She has published numerous articles in the fields of pharmacology and basic clinical science. Together with her colleagues in the department, she collaborates with the Indonesian National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) on the evaluation of new drugs.
